The ski season of 2023-2024 starts on December 1st.

Zell am See has been directly connected to the Saalbach/Leogang/Fieberbrunn ski area for several years and is one of the four largest ski areas in the world, boasting 121 lifts and 408 kilometers of slopes.

Since 2016, the "ZellamSeeXpress" (a 10-person cable car that connects the ski areas of Zell am See with those of Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Leogang, and Fieberbrunn) has been in operation.

New for the winter of 2023/2024 is the Sonnkogelbahn, a combination lift consisting of a 6-person chairlift and a 8-person gondola. This is ideal for those who want to explore the beautiful and sunny Zell am See in addition to skiing.

Depending on the snow conditions, the plan is to open the ski area in Zell am See on December 1st. If there is insufficient snow, no worries, the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier in Kaprun is already open from October. This allows you to enjoy ski certainty in Zell am See/Kaprun for 9 months.
